The handset will be fully equipped with customized China Mobile functions including Fetion mobile instant messaging, 139 mobile mail service and GPS technology, according to Wang.

According to Wang, 3G handset development will be LG's focus for the remainder of this year, during which LG will launch a number of 3G handset models that adopt the standards of the three Chinese telecom operators.

"The target groups for LG's 3G handsets are the young and fashion forward set and the high-end business consumer," Wang said.
